Environment
In many cases, the forests which provide our wood sustain not only their own complex eco-systems of plants and animals, but also the economy of their local communities. We have a duty of care in both of these respects; the results of our actions can have wide-reaching effects for which we take full responsibility.
It is our policy to establish best-practice models designed to maintain the biodiversity and regeneration capacity of our forests. Our motivation is to achieve balance – balance between the demand for wood products, which are as popular now as they have ever been, and the survival of our forests, which has never been at greater risk.
